To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month (October), Junior Civitan participates in an annual activity called “flocking”. Flocking is an activity that runs through the month of October where Junior Civitan volunteers decorate teacher’s rooms with pink decorations, such as flamingos until the class pays an unflocking fee of $25. The only way the teachers can avoid flocking is if the teachers pay insurance beforehand, which is $5.
Flocking of classrooms this year will begin next week and run through the month of October (excluding Homecoming week) for Breast Cancer Awareness. All of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Cancer Society. You may help flock/unflock classrooms after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Please text (407) 497-0565 or email LHJuniorCivitan@gmail.com or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or if you are interested in flocking on a certain day. Each flocking day will account for one Junior Civitan event, and provide 30 minutes of volunteering for Bright Futures.
We apologize for the last minute change of plans, but today’s meeting is CANCELED!
